Featured Member Artist - Natalie Thomas

This artist's love of pottery began on a childhood trip with her family when she purchased a small piece of handmade pottery. Thomas' work consists of both handbuilt and wheelthrown pottery that draw their inspiration from the organic forms and colors of nature. Although most of her pieces are kiln fired using interesting combinations of glazes, she also enjoys the unpredictable effects of Pit and Raku fired pieces.

Ms. Thomas was born and raised in the Kansas City area. She currently lives in Peculiar, Missouri with her husband and three children. Natalie serves as the Vice President and Art Event Coordinator for the Downtown Peculiar Arts and Culture District (DPACD).

Thomas' work can be seen at The Potter's Obsession located at 13035 B Holmes Road in Kansas City, Missouri, The Chanticlair Coffee House and Café located at 109 E. Broadway in Peculiar, Missouri and the Primary Colors Gallery located at 109 W. Lexington, Independence, Missouri.
