Featured Member Artist - Kristin Smith

Kristin Smith is as much influenced by a degree in anthropology as she is by the childhood explorations of her grandmother's attic. She concocts art out of fragments of unrecalled memories that seem peculiarly familiar nonetheless. Ms. Smith often uses expired film and a variety of cameras to create dreamlike moments.

Kristin has a thing for threes and resides in Peculiar with her three kids, three dogs, but only one husband. She has had art published in Somerset Studio magazine as well as in New Directions in Altered Books by Gabe Cyr. Ms. Smith currently serves as the Secretary for the Downtown Peculiar Arts and Culture District (DPACD)
